I promise I was going to post about this anyway, I’m not just copying bro.

At the start of this year I was so unfit I thought I was starting to compost.  I had been complaining to Rach that we never cycled anywhere and I never got to go for walks in the country any more and my dancing was down from 3 times a week to less than weekly and I was too far from town or from work to walk and and and…

When I started thinking about cycling I would just think about how I’d probably injure myself etc.

Well, now I’m dancing again, have been cycling, gardening, and doing pushups, and I’m feeling a LOT happier with my fitness and my shape than I have been for a long time.

And I owe it to the Wii!

Not that the Wii got me fit, but it got me from the composting state to the “has used his limbs in the last 24 hours” state.  It got me to the point where I thought a short cycle ride could be fun rather than a chore.  The rest of it was easy then.

Who’da thought a video game would be responsible for getting me out into the sunshine*?

Incidentally, I failed to get into week 5 of the 100 pushups program so I’m going for week 3 again…

*weather may vary

Did you find week4 easier than week3? I’m in the middle of week4 at the moment, and it almost feels like I’m slipping backwards.

So I’m doing extra sets. Rawr!

yeah, I think I might have. I was level 1 though, so heaps easier than level 2 anyway.

I cycled to the train station where I left my car so I could have a drink in Birmingham. Luckily it was mostly down hill! I’ve actually used my bike about 4 times this year which is big improvement.
Also back into the dancing although not yet up to once a week.
