Since I am taking a lady out for dinner tonight, and since I have had essentially a box of compost in the car for the last 18 hours, I thought I’d invest in a smelly car hangy uppy thing to try and compensate for the rich organic odour present.

The moment I got it out of the packet I felt carsick.

Was it of the type that you aren’t supposed to take out of the packet all the way, but slowly open the packet further every now and again to let the packet slip down and more of the smelly stuff out? :)

I hate any kind of air fresheners; I think it’s mainly due to having a badly asthmatic sister who starts to choke as soon as someonesprays the stuff about. It’s a very interesting sight to see an overprotective mother ‘discussing with’ a shop assistant why she shouldn’t spray air freshener in her daughter’s face and hence make her daughter unable to breath. She politely points out ‘if itsmells, it’s dirty. Clean it.’ My mum can be very scary sometimes. I have no problem breathing around air freshener stuff, butI just can’t stand the smell - something I think is psycologically due to incidents like that :) I also hate the smell of furniture polish. In my old office I had to leave when the cleaners did their once-a-week clean of the desk (i.e. spray polish on a desk and swish a cloth through it, repeat on every single surface you can find, don’t stop until someone in the vicinity turns blue).

    Odour neutralisers. Wonderful invention.

I have one in every room of my house otherwise it smells like a greasy chip shop, thanks to my housemate who frys all her food.
