Cor this writing lark is hard! I’m only about half-way through this month’s story and it’s rubbish anyway! I think I’ll have to bash it off at home this evening (oo-er) and post it in all it’s inferior, ill-formed glory. The point of this exercise is to write, not to sit on half-finished stories because they’re not good enough!
Coincidentally, the latest book that I picked up from Borders (I occasionally go in, browse the cheap shelves and buy anything that manages to grab me in the first couple of paragraphs) is a series of short essays on life in general that talk a bit about writing and being a writer. This morning the item was about minimalism in writing and I feel the need to re-write this month’s story. Maybe I’ll finish it first, then do a minimalist edition next month.
