Wooer, release anxiety strikes again!
I’ve mostly-done my site redesign at home, and I brought the files in last week to upload, but then I suddenly doubted that they were finished (and I think I was right, they’re not) so I am now getting very nervous about releasing this code, especially since there is no ssh on this host so if I cock up I have to either FTP stuff again or use the slightly clunky mysql web interface to find out what’s going on in the database.
Ah, autumn is here! Time for warm clothes, cozy nights with booze and blankets and movies… cabaret season has started and the pressure to get things done has eased … the river’s up (so what’s new?) and the low sun casts a golden hue over the riverbanks, augmenting the rusty leaves of the trees… Spent last weekend mostly pottering, half the time tucked away in my lab/studio/junk room arranging a set of tunes for performance at some point in the new year. A seemingly hopeless Saturday during which I completed perhaps 1 out of 25 jobs I had set for myself came to an end with me realising I had put together just over an hour of music and over half of it was pretty good! Sunday saw lots of jobs done by 12:30 and more musical noodlings in the afternoon, as well as a couple of major fixes to the technology I use to produce these sounds. I even made a start on the dread process of all the christmas planning and execution. My hope this year is to get the decisions made nice and early so that the actual xmas period goes by in a relaxed and enjoyable way.
